We have chickens and in addition to the eggs they are great composters and funny to watch. Have had wild ducks try to use our rockscaped salt water pool as their private pond and breeding area for the last two years. After dealing with the mess and having to set up an escape area for the ducklings to be able to get out of the pool with it's high sides, this year we are seriously on alert to keep the critters out. Have had them circling the last few days checking out "the pond". If they do manage to return it's duck eggs and roast duck this year! : )Lyndahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12641541238066922964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-874207911908838979.post-25629789105254351652012-03-08T13:36:59.830-06:002012-03-08T13:36:59.830-06:00LOL This is sooo fun. We had some neighbors in town, who had two ducks for pets. We didn't know their names at the time, so we called them "The Duck People", what else? And then we called them, Daisy and Donald. But, then "Donald" moved out and "Daffy" moved in. She got custody of the ducks. As to the story about the ssssnake? (yuck, I'm getting the shivers just thinking about it!) I'm going to say, the one about pets leaving the strangest gifts. Be sure to let me know in advance, because I might have to think twice about reading that one. Snakes give me the heebee jeebees, and right now I want to have my feet high off the floor!! Oh, and the diet I did was the Hcg diet. I lost 40 pounds. That stuff works!Darlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11428797675882725547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-874207911908838979.post-88056087600814683192012-03-06T11:44:01.135-06:002012-03-06T11:44:01.135-06:00LOL! oh I so missed your stories! Well, as they grew, no one had time or place for them. So ..... since we lived in the country, we took them. Fast forward one year...<br />32 ducks! One of those dirty birds was a male. They would quack and walk around the house every morning about 5 or 5:30. My mother said "that's it" and then we were knee deep in feathers, plucking and plucking. But we had some nice duck dinners for a long time!clennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00681977289026983572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-874207911908838979.post-91269620471009564892012-03-05T13:47:23.945-06:002012-03-05T13:47:23.945-06:00Well thank God, YOU weren't fried along side t...Well thank God, YOU weren't fried along side the ducks.
