#133-THURSDAY'S PICK (Mary)

I love reading people's comments.  Therefore, I have decided to pick a comment each Thursday to post.  Of course this will fall FLAT if you guys aren't making comments!  This is no longer an issue.  In fact, I have so many wonderful comments to choose from that I am having a hard time keeping up.  THANK YOU!  ALL OF YOU!

Mary (my cousin) commenting on #74 (The Last Santa) said...

"Wonderful memory! If you had visited Uncle Bill and Aunt Pearl, you would have known that Uncle Bill was Santa. He wore the appropriate Santa suit, had a bag with loads of presents, and always left the house after dark. I knew Dad was Santa because I saw him every year. He took toys to disadvantaged young children in our town for his lodge. (I didn't find that out for several years.)"

It just so happens that I have a picture of Uncle Bill, Aunt Pearl, Joe and Judy (sorry Mary, I guess you hadn't arrived yet).  You could remedy this by sending me a family picture of all of you.
Uncle Bill is the one with the built in Santa padding (Duh!).
Ok, I can hear Mary now, "Gawd, KATIE, did you have to put up THAT picture?"
So, here's a better one of Uncle Bill with my Grandpa Zack and my Granny Grace.

Yep, that my Uncle Bill and from the look of the
snow on the ground I believe it was about time
for him to make his rounds.

  1. I love the old pix - men wore suits and hats, women wore heels, a pretty dress and nylons (except we called them hose)!
My 9 yr old grand son has fallen in love with that style hat - he thought it was a new fad until we showed him pix of his great grand pa.
